Hi! The Brush 001 is meant for medium to thick hair, using a combination of boar and nylon bristles to distribute your hair’s natural oils while simultaneously protecting your scalp. While the Brush 002 is great for all hair types, and uses wooden pins for a gentle, everyday detangle!

Hi, thank you for your question! We source and harvest all of our boar bristles ethically.

They are Sus Scrofa pork bristles, farmed from China, and disinfected by exposure to steam at 140° C. They are also boiled for at least 2 hours and have been scoured and cleaned (they are free extraneous materials).

They are a by-product of the food industry. Boars are mainly bred for food purposes and not especially for their bristles. This means we use a part of the boar that otherwise would be thrown away!

The Brush No. 001 is a mix of boar and nylon bristles! If you are looking for a pure boar brush, our Brush No. 003 is all boar bristles.

For fine hair, we recommend Brush No. 003! It will help distribute your natural oils from your scalp to your strands. However, Brush No. 002 is great for all hair types and for an even detangle :)

We would not recommend brushing on wet hair, as this is when your hair is most vulnerable to breakage. Comb when wet, and brush when dry!
